The long-term no-tillage test field was built in 2003 and set up with different tillage treatments such as no-tillage and straw return. Crop biomass, leaf area, crop yield and plant characteristics at harvest, soil bulk, soil infiltration rate, soil neutron moisture, soil organic matter, pH, soil NPK total fast-acting nutrients and nutrients related to soil solution were measured regularly every year under different tillage conditions, while soil greenhouse gases were collected and measured, and soil fauna were investigated to study the effects of no-tillage conditions on crop yield formation We also investigated the effects of no-tillage on crop yield formation, tillage technology system, and no-tillage on soil properties and farm ecology. An open climate warming simulator was also embedded to simulate artificial heating using far-infrared radiation warming device to increase the surface temperature by 1.5-2.0°C. The effect of warming on greenhouse gas (CO2, CH4, N2O) emission from farmland was investigated.
